Ringlet

The Ringlet is a dark brown butterfly with pale ringed eye spots on the underwing, which make it easily identifiable. They are evident in damp grasses often close to lightly wooded areas around the reserve in the months of June and July. The larvae feed on grasses, carex and sometimes sedges.
