Thankyou for visiting my site. The following is a brief guide to the contents of the site and how to navigate around it.

Birding in Mallorca

I spent two weeks birding in Mallorca in September 1999. The details of my trip and other bits of useful information about bird watching in Mallorca can be found listed on several pages.

Birding in Lesvos

I spent two weeks birding in Lesvos in September 2000 staying at Skala Kalloni and a further two weeks in Lesvos in May 2003 based in Vatera. The details of these trips along with other information are laid out on several pages in a similar manner to those of the Mallorca trip.

Birding in Turkey

A two week trip to Turkey. From the sea and the last remaining marshes to the mountains looking for Caspian Snowcock.

Birding in Goa

Three weeks birdwatching in the Indian state of Goa.

Birding in Florida

Three weeks birdwatching in the US state of Florida, from the Space Coast down to the Keys and the Dry Tortugas, returning via the West Coast.

Birding Links

I have listed some links to birding sites on the Internet. Those listed are sites that I have personally found to be the most useful or interesting. Many of them provide information and/or trip lists on birding around the world. They are grouped into local, UK or worldwide sites. The local sites listed are from the Nottingham and East Midlands area where I am based. Many of those listed give further links to other birding sites.
There are also approximately 50 shared links from various birding sites mainly clubs and organisations in the uk.

Attenborough Nature Reserve

This section of my site is dedicated to my local nature reserve, Attenborough Gravel Pits. This section includes information on how to reach the reserve with a map and photographs, it describes the nature trail, gives news on recent events and sightings and detailed information on the wildlife to be found on the reserve.

Trip Reports

This section contains trip reports from around the world. These have been supplied by family and friends at present. However, if you have a trip report to share please send it to me and I will post it on this site.

NAVIGATION

I hope that I have made navigation around this site as convenient as possible. On my home page just click on the large blue buttons to go to the information listed. There is also a navigation bar at the left hand side of each page for easy access to any area. Whilst viewing the pages on Mallorca and Lesvos there are buttons at the bottom of each page to help you move around. On the Mallorca pages clicking on some of the photographs will show more or enlarged images and there are two interactive maps available. On the first Lesvos page and the first Turkey page the map is also interactive. In the Lesvos photo gallery, click on the small photos to view enlarged images, then click the large photos to return to the gallery. The photo gallery for Turkey is presented as a slide show, just click on next or previous to view the photos.
In the Trip Reports section the map of the world is interactive. Clicking on this map will take you to a list of reports for the area selected on the map.

If you encounter any errors whilst browsing this site, please let me know and I'll do my best to rectify the problem as soon as possible.
